Rezigrene, can you say exactly what goes wrong when you try to install it?

The only suggestion I could make is updating the firmware on your tablet, it solved the problems I had with getting Skype on my N810.

If you need help with that try this tutorial:

It simply says ''Failed to install Skype.'' It downloads it and goes to install, then stops. I'm using the latest firmware, at least I think.

I just installed Skype on my N800 tablet (after reflash of OS...) from repository without problems couple hours ago. I did not have any problems.

Make sure you do have Maemo Extras repository enabled.

The exact error is

Unable to install.
Software contains updates to packages installed from a different source and is likely to harm the system.

Contact the software author.

I have no idea what to do, I have all the repos from gronmayer installed and enabled.

Brand new n810, delivered today:

Click the Skype button
- "Install Skype?"
- Click "Okay"
- Application Manager loads
- Downloading.....
- "Install application? skype 1.7.62.51.1 4.6 MB" (Click OK)
- "Unable to Install. Software contains updates installed from a different source and is likely to harm the system. Contact software author." (Click OK)
- Dumped back to Application manager screen

I'm also having trouble with updates for map.
