Hey, sorry to ask a question on the first post, but this is about to drive me crazy. I have a Linksys WRT54GS router with 2 wired comps and 1 wireless comp.
There is no security on the network and the PSP can connect without a problem. But for what ever reason this N770 I got refuses to find a connection. Any suggestion, advice, or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Can your 770 see any wireless networks anywhere, or is it just yours that is missing?

BTW, as it was pointed out to me earlier, the 770 isn't an 'N'!

Doesn't sound promising.
So if you hit 'Connections' and just leave it for a while, it does the 'scanning' thing and fails to find anything?
Seems bad as mine can generally find a few (it has a great wireless range). If you are in the middle of a town, can you take it there to see if it can find the cafe's and shops that have them?
It just seems a bit concerning that it cannot find any and it would be bad if the wireless was broken.

Yea, I'm going to try a bunch of that I know of tomorrow, and if that doesn't work then I'm not sure what I'm going to do just yet. Thanks for the help and any further help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

No problem. As it is I may do the same today as I have updated to 2007HE and now I can see no networks either. I do know my wireless works, as I saw my network once!

Hello,

I have the same problem with my device (770).
But!!:
it only happens when I'm in an area with a lot of wifi-networks.

I have the feeling that it doesn't scan long enough or just isn't able to show the networks befor the next scan cycle starts - or whatever?!

perhaps anybody knows where to change settings?

Carl

Ref. my post about Time Capsule and my 770 not being able to see either the Apple network or others in my immediate neighborhood..

I just checked the 770 connections when turning off the Time Capsule, and bingo, up popped all of my local networks!

I don't know if this is a purely Apple matter or perhaps other 'n/g/b' compatible networks have the same affect on the 770.

Could this be your problem too?

Hmm,
than it has to be a scanning only issue, because i can connect to my network using a script. If I use iwlist it shows sometimes 1, sometimes up to 8 acces points. My router finds over 20.

carl

just found that:
"...If one of your neighbors has something recent like an 802.11n Airport Extreme and your tablet catches a wiff of its signal, your wifi is hosed until you're out of range..."

Solved my N770 problem today after adding an Airport Extreme 2.4Ghz access point, while making my Time Capsule a 5Ghz-only AP.

Now the N770 and N800 connect fine to the Extreme and my 11-n devices can work at full speed on the other
