Hi guys.

I had a few questions with regards to KDE on the N8x0 tablets.

1. Does sound/audio work?
2. Are custom fonts installable?
3. Can a full version of RealPlayer be installed?

Thanks to anyone who can answer.

yes

just about anything that runs under maemo, will run under KDE. many times they run better

I dont believe realplayer is available, but there are alternatives. like mplayer/ smplayer.

I use video center alot, as well as mplayer and juk, videos run great.

custom fonts can be installed under control panel

absolutely try KDE, and if you havent used kde on a desktop before (IE: a newbie), give it a week for a fair test.

i think you'll find like alot of us, you wont ever go back to the stock OS

the only other advice i can give you... dont let your wife see it, otherwise you might not get your tablet back (this is from experience )

everything worked as it should after installing the .deb , touchscreen, screen-keyboard and all ... there's realplayer alternatives available but not the official. and yes you can mess with the fonts.

but adding a usb keyboard unleashed the beast as your n800 will then become an almost full featured laptop. Something Maemo can't do.

consider this if you don't have a usb keyboard available.
