For example, when I try to install Canola or Fennec, it goes all the way until installing [application name] then says unable to install [application name.] The applications show up on that thing where u start applications, but when i click on them, nothing happens.

How do you reflash your tablet?

So in my case, it's an n800, i've just reflashed to RX-34_2008SE_2.2007.51-3_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin
In control Panel, "About this product" says Based on OS2008, Version 2.2007.51-3

I've tried various applications, like Open SSH, wget, python. I've tried them with and without the 'i' in the extras repository (repostory) address. I've tried installing just from the application browser, and through the web from an 'install' button. It's a singularly unhelpful message.

I have Red pill, I have root.

I had to reflash because of a reboot loop. I really didn't want to. I had tons of stuff installed.

Once I get this working, can I make a raw image of the boot drive on an SD card for later restore? I'm really, really tired of reinstalling applications. Some stuff gets stored on the boot drive, like everything in password safe, all my bookmarks, and so on. Any sort of total restore option is probably a good idea.

Found it in another thread. My 'internal' SD card was corrupt. Fortunately, I have another. If i can't install e2fsprogs, how am i going to reformat the card? I've got tons of stuff installed now. Can't seem to locate e2fsprogs. Soon, i suppose.

Look at the log in App Mugger. It should give an explanation of the failure.

Sorry, that would be the "App manager".

Affectionate terms for it include App mugger and App mangler.
