haven't used my n770 for a while but was interested in getting the clone of crayon physics running, numpty physics.

When I try to install it says that my libc6 is too old.

Any (easy) ideas how to update this. I know I should know this, but it's been a while !

cheers

Mat

Actually, there's very little info on this (when I tried to search) -- aside from people saying they can't get it to work or that it's hard to get to work.

So... For those who want to know, what exactly does "ignore it" mean?

Tim

Not sure but maybe installing as root via dpkg with some --force-xx argument? Didn't work for me from UI too. This is probably caused by compiling in Chinook SDK which adds newer libc dependency to everything. Pure SDL based stuff can be compiled in OS2006 scratchbox target, same package works across all OS200x versions then.

(in my opinion) it means: force-install it, as the lib version doesn't actually matter.

[dpkg -i <package name>] as root from the xterm command prompt should do it.

Code:
dpkg -i --force-depends numpty...deb
--force-all should be working too.

This error doesn't show up in 2008HE.

EDIT: Yes, --force-depends.

Download the 770 specific build: https://garage.maemo.org/frs/downloa...cs_0.1_770.deb

Then login as root in X-term and type: dpkg -i --force-depends /whateveryourpathis

It should install fine. It works just fine on my 770 running OS2007HE

thanks for the replies guys.

I've now become root, and want to run the command to install the .deb file. I've put the .deb file in the documents folder on the n770, so what is the actual path to use in the dpkg command. I've tried /documents/numptyphysics_0.1_770.deb but no luck. Obviously missing some really simple Linux syntax here.

thanks again.

/home/user/MyDocs/.documents/
