Need an app to execute a simple unix script. Anybody seen anything anywhere?

Basically I'm too lazy for a trip to the terminal and executing some script there. On Mac there is an app that does that exactly - you provide it with the script, and the app will generate free standing, normal Mac app whose only purpose in life is to execute the script. Then I just put it on the desktop and click on it to have the embedded script executed.

Use osso-statusbar-cpu - then in the statusbar you'll have cpu/memory usage + command starting interface.

You can also, as root, make a .desktop file in /usr/share/applications/hildon that points to the script. You can edit it with leafpad or some other text editor. Best to copy an existing .desktop file and change the "Exec=" line to your script name. The new icon will appear in your "extras" menu.
