I just received my "NEW" n810 yesterday (as opposed to my new one off ebay).

Good news, not scratches or anything to suggest it had been a rebox Yeah!

Bad news, the home/ back button on the front face is well pushed in on its edge. I don't remember the other one that I played with for a few minutes having its button pushed in so aggressively. It still works, it just doesn't feel nice pushing it. Almost like it was bent in.

Please check the attached photo and let me know if this should be.

That's not normal. Looks like someone may have gotten carried away at final assembly.

Thats what I thought. I am considering trying to bend it back up (with a scalpel blade) but I would be nervous that it would fly off. I think I might just use it for a day and see if it really bothers me. If it does I might have to exchange it.

I highly recommend not fixing this yourself. You could damage the membrane underneath.

I would exchange it. It's unfortunate that you would have to do so again...

Thanks for the input texrat. I am going to exchange it. Whats another week of waiting?
Incidentally Iam loving the 810. It is a strange change from the 800. Same OS but a whole new experience with the keyboard, MUCH heavier and quite a bit prettier! Feels like a tiny high quality laptop.
