I'm testing Orb as a webcam server on my home PC, streaming to the N800, but there's a problem:

If I connect via the Mycast.orb.com web page using my notebook computer, it launches Windows Media Player, connects to an asx stream, and I see the webcam.

If I connect from the N800, it launches Media Player, and tries to connect to an rm (Real Media) stream. After a minute it says "Media stream not found at given address (rtsp://<a local-ip-address>/E0/live.rm

I take it that Orb is automatically trying to stream in RealMedia format to the N800, but Media Player has a problem with the rm stream?

Any suggestions?

Ok, the problem appears to occur only with that particular PC streaming RealMedia format. The N800 connects successfully to the RM stream when I use a different PC as the Orb server, so I don't think the problem is at the N800 end. Can't say I understand the problem though - the port configured as the RM streaming port in Orb is open, and it doesn't help even to shut down the software firewall entirely on that server.

One more thing I noticed though: there's an interesting option in Orb 2.0 called OrbSecure to configure the webcam server to send automatic email (with photo) or SMS alert on motion detection. But I'd never have noticed it logging in from the N800 because the OrbSecure configuration button is missing in MicroB.
