Yes and no. It will not replace a cell phone, however, you can make phone calls over the internet. Still, it is NOT a cell phone.

Perhaps it isn't a CELL phone but it IS a phone for me. I use the SIP/VoIP phone as my primary phone number. So you can't roam around like a cell but for me it is a phone.

Sure, just drop your SIM card in and you're good to go. And while we're at it: There's a supersecret key combination that will reset it to Windows Mobile 6.1 as well.

(sheesh. How many does it take?)

No, it's not a "phone" in the sense that you are thinking --- it's not a cell phone and doesn't work with cell phone signals. However, if you near a viable wifi signal, you can use the built-in skype program to call other skype phones; or you can pay some money to call normal phones. Details here: http://www.skype.com

C'mon guys, go easy on him. He's just a noob!

Has anyone tried two tablets connected by a taut string? It works with tin cans...

Not sure I'm understanding. He has one post, status shows Junior Member and joined this month. So, he's a Senior Member?

So all those people who are regularly popping up, offering iPhones (<spit!>) for USD 99.00 are valuable new members as well?

Tip: Forum stats aren't like Bog's Word. Look at me, I'm listed as a "senior member", while in reality I'm positively decrepit.
