I want to get a quiet keyboard for my n800. I am mostly going to use it for note taking in class or in a library. Is the iGo quiet? Stowaway keyboards are a huge plus.

I searched around a bit but couldn't find much regarding this.

I had a Stowaway keyboard a while ago for a Palm, but it was loud. Maybe one of those silicone/flexible keyboards and a USB OTG adapter would be better.

Definetely, the IGo keyboard is not quiet at all. Typing quickly makes it being even louder

And I don't like the iGo keyboard. I would get something larger. And I second the idea of an adapter -- bluetooth is of limited use, really -- who is going to put the N800 far away from the keyboard? One does want to be able to read the screen. The wire is a bit clumsy and inelegant, I admit, but a better keyboard, and maybe cheaper, might be worth a slight droop in status.

It's not a question of distance, it's a question of simplicity. With Bluetooth you just need the tablet and the keyboard, that's much easier to carry around.

Having said that, wired keyboards are excellent for use at home, I'd highly recommend them in those circumstances.

The stowaway works fine and is quiet enough. It's no louder than a laptop kb.

Yeah some are making it sound like an IBM Model M. It's quiet enough for a library. For a recording studio... maybe not.

I'm just looking for one that is not loud enough to annoy people to much if I type in class. Bluetooth and being able to fold it up and stick it in my pocket is a huge plus. I like the apple keyboard, but I cant see myself toting it to class. Anybody have any experience with the flexible roll up keyboards? I would think that they would be kind of difficult to use and touchy, but I figured I would ask.

Gosh ! It is really expensive ! Plus I don't think you can fold it.
