I've installed Personal Menu on my N810. It's there in Control Panel and I've added apps. It's there in Control Panel>Panel and I've placed it under the Microb icon.
But it doesn't show up. I've cold booted but no appearance.
I note that when arranging Control panel>Panel, the tick box to show Personal meny will not take input, ie won't tick.

Any ideas?

Might be a dumb question: Have you unticked one of the other icons first? - the left-hand nav menu only takes 3 icons (e.g. web, contacts, applications).

Indeed.

I'm surprised that point was missed, especially as during install, a dialog box to that effect pops up.

I note that.

I had terrible trouble downloading Personal Menu and it installed after ten or so tries and monkeying around in xterm.

I can guarantee that no dialog of that kind popped up during install. I went to the PM web site to sort out what was wrong but after much rummaging around, found no solution to my problem. Maybe there's a help file somewhere but I haven't found it.
