Check this link out:

Amazon PNY 32GB sdhc card

I'm not sure if these are any good or not, but the price sure is. I'm going to order one and give it a try. If anyone else gets one too, post back here and share your results. I have an N800.

Two of them in a N800 would be awesome, however, it would cost more than the device they are in

Class4 so it's not incredibly slow (I have one class4 8gb and one class6 8GB card).

If the cards are good, then we can use them with N800 plus other devices too. And when we need to upgrade the device, probably we can move the cards to the new device.

So $150 for a 32GB card looks like a good price to me. Does the large size of the card make the OS run slow though? I use two 4GB cards and I don't see a big difference in N800s operation.

It is amazing the exponential cost increases in the larger, cutting edge storage sizes. I bought a ScanDisk Patriot 16GB class6 card last week for $32 $35 AR. Not too bad. The larger size is only twice the size, but nearly 5 times the cost. Ouch

$32?! Can't be right. The cheapest Sandisk 16gb I can find is about £45 ($90). At $32, I'd get two straight away!

It was a Patriot card and it was $35 after rebate, not $32 that I posted above - I was going off memory - sorry for the confusion.

Newegg has the 16gb for $49Newegg 16GB sdhc

You're right, but if you look at competitor's 32gb cards, they range from about $400-$600, so $150 isn't bad.

Does the large size of the card make the OS run slow though?
The only things that come to mind as far as speed being a problem would be if you don't disable "metalayer crawler" from indexing any media on the card, and if you have any folders with A LOT of files in the same folder. The filemanager sorts the files by your preference of name/date/size and a large list of files will take a bit longer to process when you open a folder with *filemanage*. If you're using X-term or SSH to peruse your files, you shouldn't see delay.

For me I don't expect it to be enough of an issue since it beats swapping cards if the one you have inserted doesn't have what you need on it.

There's always a price split somewhere - where the price of the n*2 card is more than twice as much. At the moment it's between 16 and 32. When I bought my 8GB cards, it was between 8 and 16. It'll move, give it time.
