I would like to use some Winamp playlists (*.m3u) and .mp3s to the N800, but although Media Player and Canola see the playlists, both choke on playing the playlists as it can't find the media files.

I finally found one answer based on the error that the players couldn't find the media files until the media files were placed in a folder under the playlist folder. Then, I had to change all the Windows-centric backslashes to *Nix style forward slashes. So my folder list liikes like /playlist/media folder, /playlist/media folder 2, etc.

Before Diablo, this fixed Canola. After the Diablo update, (in which Canola can't be used as yet) the Media player complains that it can't find the files again. It doesn't show me the error path that Canola did, so I can't find what Media player is complaining about.

Can someone describe both the layout of the folders and the format of the playlists?

Thanks!

Canola does work in Diablo. I used it on my way to work this morning in fact I think searching this forum will show you some useful tips on making it work.

Just a guess, but you might need to use absolute paths in the playlist for Diablo's media player, e.g., /media/mmc1/Music/track.mp3
