Does anyone have video chat on the N810 to a PC working well? If so, would you be willing to let me call you so I can see what the quality looks like on this end?

I've read that on these forums (at least back last year), the Skype for mobile doesn't support video yet. I also read that it was working on a beta version of Gimzo5. I'm wondering about the current state. Does Skype video work yet? Has the Gizmo version with video made it into a release yet?

Thanks!
Michael

Amsn works with video chat to any MSN client.

It's searchable although I haven't tried it on Diablo.

I can confirm that video from PC to Tablet works over Gizmo with the latest public PC release (and obviously the tablet release). Quality is questionable, but considering the processor/camera on the Tablet, it works fine.

x-lite is said to work on Windows; I haven't tried it though.

Edit: That's with the default SIP client, neither Gizmo nor Skype.

I've used it regularly with x-lite on the PC using FWD (FreeWorldDialup). It worked ok. The sound quality was not as good as skype. xlite does not seem to do as good with the noise cancellation as skype. Fundamentally unusable on the PC without a headset (the sound from the nokia cuts out but stops cutting out with muting or using a headset). That being said, it's possible that my HP laptop has subpar audio hardware.

I no longer use it (since about a month) since Rogers started blocking SIP. I know this because without configuration change on my routers, etc., it stopped working and if I go over to my friend with Sympatico, it works again.

See this thread for an explanation of how to configure it:

On a tablet to PC I use Gizmo on to call my parents in India on their PC and while Video quality is not the best, on a nice bright sunny day the video does work fine. Its particularly bad in low light conditions though.

On a tablet to tablet - me on my N810 to my wife with a N800 - the internet call application supports video as well and video quality is better than with Gizmo.
