I'm sorry if this is stupid.

I had R&D mode enabled witn IT 2005 and set up root access. Now that I have flashed IT 2006, the 770 won't boot until I remove the USB plug. When I try to boot holding the power and home keys, it freezes until I remove the USB cable.

How have others enabled root mode in IT 2006?

It worked for me, I enabled R and D and installed ssh, I disabled it once I was done, no problems

Try plugging in the power cable to start the boot process.

I'm trying to disable R&D mode from ubuntu with the flasher 2.0 & my iT2006 n770 but this is what I get

ubuntu@ubuntu:/media/Kingston$ ./flasher-2.0 --disable-rd-mode --reboot
flasher v0.8.1 (May 30 2006)

Suitable USB device not found, waiting
USB device found found at bus 001, device address 006
Error claiming USB interface: Operation not permitted

any ideas how to get it to work?
