Watching Olympics, http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/eta...watch-the.html

Watching Olympics, on inet from your PC, http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...434#post211434

From your Nokia, WorldTV99 (get it from my signature):
China/CCTV4 (Not 24/7)
USA/China NTD TV NYC
Sport channels: Italy/SportItaly, Russian/Eurosport,
NewsChannel: USA/NBC, USA/CNN, USA/ITN news,
and any news channels that airs it.

VCURLs72, (get it from my signature):
NBC, CNN, CBS, ABC, Fox

Hava users: simple, just turn on your Hava and point to NBC all the time!

Opening ceremony: Live, 8pm Beijing time, which is 8 am Eastern USA time (12 hrs difference) NBC will air the ceremony at 6/7 pm. From various information, the count down is "must see", about 5 min before the event.

Dont forget, you can always dl and watch, sometimes is better than streaming.

Currently all the sportchannels are already airing Olympics. Enjoy,

bun

CBC is covering it here
http://www.cbc.ca/olympics/livevideo...ector:19688.js
Not sure how to extract the mms though. Maybe you'll have better luck...

Edit: As it gets closer to the opening ceremonies it's starting to get overloaded. Oh well it was nice in the beginning so maybe later it will be OK.

Yup, another 27 min to opening....

For those unlucky ones that get locked out for whatever reasons, try my settings, they go thru. And NO, they are NOT asking for $ for this olympics season, they may afterward:

To set up silverlight for your viewing AND NBC On THE GO, my settings:

27893
Time Warner Cables
ITN

And NO, there is NO $ involved at this moment...
It is OK to install silverlight and TVTonic internet TV
And it takes 30 min to set up things, you may miss the opening ceremony which is 15 min from now. Oh yes, on the TVTonic there is subscripton to channel open and close, I guess it is for the ceremony and apparantly, it is free to subscription, so far.

Can you please play around with WorldTV99 see whether one can watch from the Nokia while they are away from home? I have 27 CBC channels on WorldTV99 and hope one of them will pick up...

You links looked good, with program listings etc, but it is LOCKED "away from my area" I guess it is a Canadian channel. No, I cannot use your link. WTF

I am fine with nbcolympics.com so far.

Apparantly NBC is airing it late this evening 6/7pm. To watch it live now, you have to go to nbcolympics.com

Anybody find any TV channel to air it LIVE now?

Boy I'm a little surprised by the lock out - I guess that's what the world is coming to. Of course it works for me, but then again I live here...

I don't need it as I'm watching on my TV - large screen...

I tried a few other links and most work - here it is L'8r

Really impressive so far - like only the Chinese can do. I will need a link to download it after - I'll want to watch this again later.

I'm using Eurosport right now, and the commentary is good. They don't talk too much, and they are descriptive and informative in their comments.

The Dutch NOS commentary contained too much personal and political comments, so I switched from that searching to an other.

Probably, several people will capture the broadcast and share it, so if you miss it, you can easily download it later although the legality of such might be questionable.
