It seems my ls is broken as when I type it the out put is

minidemon:~# ls
ls: ./apps: Input/output error
debs

Anyone know of how to fix the broken ls?
thanks before hand

corrupted SD ?
low level format/format ?

not the ls command is at fault.

Hmm, weird. You'll have to use scp to try and fix it but try this: go to the /bin directory and make sure ls is linked to busybox.

Hmm odd its working fine now
