Ironically, I've been compiling most of them...

From my tablet:
mpd (MPD: Music Player Daemon) 0.13.2

Those depencies are optional. You can build cmus without most of the depencies listed in debian package, but then you will lose support for some file types.

exactly.

i think, libvorbis and libmad - it's enough.

If someone else does not, I'll do it using [libao], libasound2, libtremor/libvorbisidec (integer stuff), libmad.
