Could somebody help me here. I've done searches, lots of them. When I try to load Quiver from the Maemo site I click on the INSTALL and I end up with a report on my N800 saying: "Unable to download quiver. Application package not found." Is it me or is therer a problem here. I have diablo and I haver Maemo extras and I appear to have the diablo sdk repository. If this is a quirk in my machine is there another way to download the file from the repository--if so, where is the repository?
Thanks.

You have to have Chinook Maemo Extras repository in your repositories list.

I have the chinook maemo-extras reository installed, and quiver is not showing in my installable applications. Do you know if running diablo could be causing this problem?

But do you have the repository enabled? Quiver is in there. No matter if you are running Diablo.

Thanks for your ideas, Alephito. Unfortuately, the maemo-extras repository is enabled and still quiver doesn't show in my installable apps. Maybe my os has been compromised somehow. Can you tell me how to download the deb file from the repository (and how to find the repository) and how to install from the deb file. I do have becomeroot for root access. Thanks.

Sorry, I can't help. Maybe someone else.

EDIT: Did you try 'apt-get install quiver' with root access? Maybe it will give you some hint.

Do this:
1. Update repositorys (button on lower right corner)
2. if quiver doesn't show up go to 3
3. open xterm type 'cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list' and send output here

Thanks Mikkov. Updating repositories didn't get quiver into the list. I'd like to try your suggestion using xterm. I can enter the command line you gave me but what do you mean by 'send the output here.' I presume the output is the result of the command line but where is 'here?' Please bear with me. I'd love to get this right. Thanks.

I just figured out that you wanted to see the output, so here it is:
deb http://catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com/updates/diablo-1/ ./
deb http://catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com/certified/ diablo user
deb http://catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com/non-certified/ diablo user
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras/ diablo free non-free
deb http://www.fbreader.org/maemo diablo user
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel diablo free non-free
deb http://eko.one.pl/maemo bora user
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras/ diablo free non-free
deb http://repository.maemo.org/ chinook free non-free

As you can see, sarthurs1, you don't have Chinook Extras enabled. You have Diablo Extras twice.

Go to the Application Manager and change in one of those occurrences 'diablo' with 'chinook'.
