I posted this at the Troubleshooting forum, but have not heard anything yet - I'm hoping someone here can help me as I am leaving on a big trip to California on Wed. and was hoping to use my GPS/N800:

I running OS2008 on a N800

MM was working great for a long time with my GPS. (GlobalSat BT-335) Now for some reason it does not. Here is the Error that flashes up over and over again:

"Failed to write to path database. Tracks and routes may not be saved. library routine called out of sequence."

I've reloaded MM and deleted maps and repositories and reloaded - same thing. It happens almost immediately when I turn on my GPS - but after clearing the error - the GPS works just fine with MM until the next time MM tries to write to the database (at least I assume that is what is happening.)

Any ideas how to fix this?

If you don't need track logging, disable tracking; otherwise remove the track file (something in the /home/user/.maemo-mapper directory) and let it rebuild it from scratch.

Cool - thanks for the reply. I do want to use the tracking - so can anyone give me a quick how-to delete that file?

Thanks again!

In the terminal,
Code:
cd .maemo-mapper
ls
rm track-file-name
