I have a N800/Latest Diablo and using the USB cable it took 30 minutes to transfer 6gb of files to the hard drive on my Windows XP computer. Worse yet, it takes many hours to then tranfer the same 6gb of files back to my N800 with a blank 16gb SD card installed as internal memory. Why so slow?

Are you sure the pc's port is USB 2.0 or is it just 1.1?

'fraid that''s all I got . Other than on my (older) Dell only the two front usb ports are 2.0. The back ones are 1.1.
