Hi again, i'm selling my broken n810. The screen is not broken but the touchscreen doesn't work, it's a long story but in short: the touchscreen layer isn't there. The unit does have some scratches, but very minor ones. You can buy a new screen (tesseco.com) and spray paint the body to get a custom, or you can buy it for the interneal parts (motherboard, camera, gps, wlan, bluetooth, ect.) IM me if you want to buy or you want some pics. I ship with USPS, same day I get the money, an I will provide tracking number.

EDIT: comes with the n810, charger, case, box, 2 styli, manual, cable, car mount
thanks

The touch screen isn't there or the cable came lose?

Why not repair it under warranty?

It's that My n810 got a huge scratch and I took off the factory screen protector and along with it came off the touch screen layer. I was thinking it had the same setup at the n800 (screen protector>thin plastic sheet>screen with wires at the bottom) but the n810 has screen protector>touch screen layer>screen. So yeah I don't think the warranty will cover it. But I might be going to a different platform anyways, or I might wait for the n900.

Thanks

Um, what? The panel is an integrated unit, there's no way taking off the screen protector took off the touch layer.

Yeah well, I plucked bottom corner of the screen in attempt to take off the screen protector and I guess I went too deep and got both layers. but yeah I know it wasn't a smart move alright? But I got it and i'm trying to sell it and that's that.

I don't think there's any question of smart. You didn't pluck off the touch layer. There's no way.

That said, more than a few N810s have had screens or touch layers go dead due to display cables coming loose. I'd put my money on that before you peeling off the touch layer (which simply isn't possible, unless you used a knife).

I think considering that you're being obviously dishonest about how the damage occurred, I would urge any prospective buyers to be extremely cautious. The best case scenario here is that you're ashamed of admitting what actually happened, but the product is as stated.

If that's the case, then can you post photos to prove the current state? If the "touchscreen" is gone, does that mean the LCD works too sans touchscreen?

Well alright you can believe that, but I was the one that was actually here when I took it off. And if you really want to contradict everything that i'm posting then you can pm me and stop posting the the ad.

Wow - a newbie vote of confidence!

joshv06 - A couple of Q's
Does all else work well?
Have you tried using a B/T mouse with it?
Have you checked here for a couple of other threads about "dead screen"?

My screen went dead when my cheap screen protector slid underneath the bezel. It came back.
