In the old days when I traveled, I used my Palm III to track my expenses as I traveled. Since there was no expense tracker available, I wrote one. I wrote it for my N810 running Chinook. I haven't verified if it will work on Diablo.

With the Expense Assistant, you can add/edit/delete expenses. Each expense has a category (Chicago Trip, London Trip,...), type (dinner, lunch), currency symbol, cost and date.

Expenses can be sorted by any column. They can also be filtered by category, so you can see what the current trip is costing.

I am having trouble getting it into the extras repository. It is not open source (but it is free to use). Seems the tools are all geared toward open source, and if you don't release the source, the tools don't work well.

Screenshots and download at http://www.bramblesoft.com

I have created an entry at maemo.org in the downloads section - search for expense.

I welcome your feedback. This is version 1.0. I tried to make it finger friendly, but I'm still trying to figure out how to make the scroll bars wider in Gtk.

Take a look at my app:

I think I could integrate your ideas into Stuff.

It appears that the free web hosting at GoDaddy does not allow download of binaries. I have moved the binary to another location and fixed the link.

Go ahead and try again. Clicking on the link from the NIT should bring up a prompt to open the Application Manager.

I am unable to install. The installer wants libsqlite0. Can you provide instructions on how to install this?

You should be able to install sqlite from the Application Manager if it is not already installed. Click on 'Browse Installable Applications', click 'All' (I don't know what section it would be under), look for libsqlite0.

I have released version 1.1. I knew that as soon as I released it someone would want to export the data :-)

Now you can export the data into a CSV format.

What problem are you having uploading to Extras? Non-free packages are allowed, and can be uploaded directly without source: https://wiki.maemo.org/Uploading_to_...-free_packages

I'm not sure what my problem is. I initially tried doing an 'scp' of my .deb file, because I didn't have a .changes file. I then created and signed the .changes and ran dput -f repo-name *.changes, saw no errors, yet I never see my application in the application manager. I set up my dput.cf file to upload to garage.maemo.org:/var/www/extras/incoming-nonfree/chinook. I have the application manager repository setup ok, I think. http://repository.maemo.org/extras/ with components: free non-free.

Uploading the deb is file as that is what you are meant to do but I think you want to upload to diablo instead. Also note that it does take time for the repository to refresh its list of packages.
