hi!

are there better & easier ways now to sync the best (my opininion) PIM app (GPE PIM) with my Outlook? Can GPE PIM be synchronized using the SyncML protocol? I think if I install a SyncML server I can then sync it with GPE PIM & Outlook (I've used some plugin to do this with some plugin).

Theroretically opensync does the trick, in practice the current release of the opensync maemo package doesn't have a working gpe plugin. Also it seems to be discontinued....

i suspect the opensync stuff got stopped because people got working google sync, and either had accounts there or was happy to sign up...

its a pity, especially as opensync looked really promising

indeed, opensync is interesting, but it really needs a gui to shine.

also, as one can also use opensync on a linux desktop to sync GPE with kontact (kde) or evolution, its basically only outlook thats "out of the loop".

if opensync can use SyncML then Outlook is maybe in-loop as once (With HTC Universal long time ago) I've used a plugin that did syncML. (it had a pair under WinMo)

..and.. I don't want to create a google account, too.. If I will use SyncML I will setup my own server - I don't want to give out of my control my contact list...
