hello. I am newbie with the n800 and I have some questions:

1. do I need an antivirus program or firewall for this device ?

2. how can I watch stream video from websites which require media player plugins ?

3. my Fm radio not working in any station. what could be the reason ?

thank you!

1) no
2) you won't be able to install plug-ins for proprietary video. If videos are in conventional formats, the included Media Player or installable MPlayer should play them
3) To use the FM radio you need an antenna. The wire of the headset or other ear bud will provide the reception. You can also plug in the headset and use a toggle on the FM radio to direct sound to the unit's speakers

Actually I wouldn't dismiss that so easily. True is, that there are not much virusses, trojan and the like out there that affect Linux-based devices. But there is still the possibility that someone hacks the device while its connected to the internet, especially when its connected via unprotected wifi. there are even exploits for bluetooth.

But compared to a windows device the tablet can be considered quite safe, so the correct answer would be: Probably not, as long as you keep your wifi protected with at least WPA encryption and set passwords that cant be easily guessed.
If you have no intentions of hacking/coding for the device, it'd probably be a good idea to shut down the ssh server running on the device and also to keep the device in offline mode when you're not actively connected to a network.

Ahh sorry, i forgot that there's no ssh server running unless you install openssh. So forget that. But the thoughts about wifi-encryption are still valid

If you don't need the SSH daemon, just don't install it in the first place.
