I did a quick search of the forums and did not find anything so I apologize if this is already out there.

I am curious if one of the USB devices that AT&T or Verizon sells for connecting laptops to their networks can be used on the 810.

Thanks

This was discussed a few times - those devices need more power than the N810 provides. You need to inject power from another source, but a phone is usually a much simpler solution. At least for GPRS/UMTS networks, there are phones such as the Nokia 6120 which are easy to setup as USB modems, and probably don't cost a lot more than a USB modem.

Thanks for the response. I am searching the prices on the 6120 but what kind of specs should I look for on phones to also do that? I currently have a Nokia 6085 on the AT&T monthly plan with unlimited data and also a Verizon account which I currently have an upgrade credit for use (considering the Blackberry Storm or Samsung Omnia).

Thanks
