Can anyone tell me how to get the info circled in red out of the photos? It was never processed with photoshop. Is there any way you guys can make it display filenames only? And if you can, make them show in the order they are in the folders...alphabetical/numerical?

i'd be more worried about the red lines in the images - seems to be a severe bug...

Do you want to extract and use this data? Is it EXIF data?

Or do you want to remove it and not display it?

Im not for sure what type it is, cause the info shown on the pic is not displayed if i view the photo's properties in windows. I dont know where its from. But yes, I want it removed and not displayed...I want the filename only to show in canola.

That's probably the "Image Description" field from the EXIF header. If it really never was processed with Photoshop (even opening it and saving it again might do it) then it was saved by something impersonating Photoshop.

A lot of EXIF metadata viewers don't seem to display the Image Description field, which may be why the Windows "Properties" didn't show it. I had to use exiv2 with the "-pa" option to find the description that Canola was showing me for some of my files. You can use exiv2, jhead, or similar programs to remove the metadata blocks. These are command-line programs available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It's probably not too difficult to port them to the NIT if you're so inclined.

For Diablo:

exiv2 already is in the extras-devel repository; it doesn't show up in the appl.manager, though, because of its "Section"-value.

Also in extras-devel ist exif, a command-line frontend for libexif. It installs cleanly from the appl.manager. Available also from maemo-downloads.
