Hello all,

I have N810, OS version 5.2008.43-7.
I was running on a low battery. Media player could not load correctly 'Media Library' so I restarted my tablet, but it died during reboot. I put it on charger and started again. Since then some colors in GUI are not correct and some icons/symbols are missing. There is no frame around menus, buttons. No scroll bar in every app. Media player looks "empty"...
I wander what config file or library could have been broken?
How can I fix it? Please, do not tell me to reflash again.

Tried switching to another theme, and then back to the same theme again?

Actually, some people have reported success by installing bash (if my memory serves me well). A search should bring that up.

Well, I tried to run some apps from console and here is what I got.
GLIB WARNING ** sapwood - sapwood-theme: Failed to load pixmap file /usr/share/themes/echo/images/qgn_plat_application _frame_right.png: Failed to connect to sapwood server using `/var/t mp/sapwood-:0.0': Connection refused

`/usr/lib/sapwood/sapwood-server' MUST be started before ap plications

after starting the sapwood-server all looks as usual.

So the problem is something is stopping or killing sapwood-server right? If you reboot do you have to redo that? Maybe it got removed from the start up services..

Yes, after reboot the sapwood daemon is not running again. I am trying to search forum for info how to make it run again even after reboot. "sapwood" keyword gives several search hits.
But it's a mystery why/how it got broken.

New update. Sapwood server is running after reboot but is inoperative. Any clues?

Does the service has to be run as root? Did you add it to /etc/.initd to get it to run on start up?
