I downloaded the boot menu file and setup the mmc to boot the 770. Now it will not boot from the mmc.

I'm using windows xp and not sure how to flash the boot file so that the 770 will start. I have tried to reload 2006 os but that does not work.

Is there anyway to manually add the boot menu files to the mmc? Any suggestions?

Well, did you see this?

"Version 0 of the bootmenu package is quite limited because it does not hook the menu into the boot sequence early enough. We hope to fix this eventually, but for now you can use Frantisek Dufka's excellent bootmenu initfs instead."

So try fanoush's page.

Brad.

you either need to prepare working mmc (a bit hard without working n770 or linux pc) or boot some linux live cd and set the root device back to 'flash' via linux flasher as described in wiki.

I'm not sure reflash would help, maybe yes but probably not. r&d flag is kept in same place as root device and is not changed by reflash
