Can the resident aplications on the 770 be removed easily and replaced by others? Example- can Opera be replaced by MiniMo or other?

I'm sure in one way or another it can be. But I do know the device does not offer anything like that at all in it's default state.

There's not many things that can't be done in Linux.

If you're root, you can do that, of course. Normal users can't do it, though. The application installer only lets you uninstall user-installed applications. But you can of course have both, opera and an alternative browser installed at the same time. It's, however, not integrated with the other applications then.
