Yeah, reported on that recently in my news posts. When I asked the USB3 guys down at CES about a Linux driver, they all said that one was already underway at the time and Linus was apparently heading up, or overseeing or doing something with it so that it got included in the kernel sometime in the near future. So this doesn't come as a surprise. The only thing that was a surprise was that it took so long to happen. lol.
