1b-Can an SD card be partitioned?
1c-Can all cache memory and temp files be directed to the card, as well as all programs and data, so that internal memory is protected/accessed less?
1d-Can the sd card be automatically mounted and unmounted...
2-How durable is the N810?
3-Is there an external battery charger?
5-I know the N810 connects to a network wirelessly, but are there practical options for doing so via a wire?
4- Is there any wireless portable keyboard that works with N810?
I know the issue is drivers.
I heard a wired keyboard is possible, but I have not looked into that yet.
5a- Is it true that the new N900 coming up has a smaller screen than that of the N810?
5b-I read that the N900 will multitask, does that mean the N810 does not?
6-I have seen the videos showing people taping around on the N810. Is it possible to run the device exclusively with keyboard shortcuts?
7-Can one copy and paste between programs, like on Windows?

Well, pulling the card out to copy files and programs from the desktop, basically. I don't wish to have to do this manually by typing commands.
I am wondering if the pouch has a screen cover hard enough to protect the device from a moderate direct blow to the screen, like what a Palm device has.

N900 has better processor, a graphics chip, and more ram. I would call that better...
1a-Will a 16GB microSD card Class 4 or greater work on N810?
1b-Can an SD card be partitioned? It cannot on windows. The purpose is in the following question.
1c-Can all cache memory and temp files be directed to the card, as well as all programs and data, so that internal memory is protected/accessed less? Separate partitions is even better than separate folders in the same partition.
I know doing this will not make a device without a hard disk run faster, but in my experience, it will protect the system files better, at least on a windows machine.
1d-Can the sd card be automatically mounted and unmounted (like in Windows), to avoid card corruption/unavailability already reported on other threads?
2-How durable is the N810? I forsee some banging and dropping. I am very concerned about the apparent absence of a screen shield, like Palm devices have.
3-Is there an external battery charger? In my experience using different devices over the years, charging on the device itself reduces its life.
5-I know the N810 connects to a network wirelessly, but are there practical options for doing so via a wire? A wire is normally faster of course, not sure on the N810.
4- Is there any wireless portable keyboard that works with N810? I know the issue is drivers. I checked Belkin so far, no luck. I heard a wired keyboard is possible, but I have not looked into that yet.
5a- Is it true that the new N900 coming up has a smaller screen than that of the N810? That, the fact that it will still have microSD, and being a phone, made me lose interest in it. I cannot see what could possibly be better about it.
5b-I read that the N900 will multitask, does that mean the N810 does not? I thought every Linux distro does.
6-I have seen the videos showing people taping around on the N810. Is it possible to run the device exclusively with keyboard shortcuts? They are faster in my view.
7-Can one copy and paste between programs, like on Windows? I ask because this is not possible with my WM5 “smart” phone.
Thanks in advance for any help.
