Newbie question
Is there an application out there I can use to sync my outlook calendar and contacts on my new N810? Please let me know since I am trying not to have to type all of my (over 200) contacts and calendar info for the last 3 years. Thanks

use gpe calendar and erminig for calendar.
For contacts no solution is completely satisfactory - try gpe contacts (import vcf files one by one).

two applications for the calendar?

I also have a Sony Clie (Palm OS 5.2) PDA with all my contacts and calendar info. Would it be easier if I transfer the information from the PDA into the N810? or from the Palm Desktop?

You may find Garnet of interest -- it's a Palm emulator. Also, use my newbie link below and look for GVM and Garnet.

After I set up GVM can I then transfer the information to another application in the N810 (e.g. GPE or something similar)?

The ultimate goal is to transfer everything into my new N810 and not use my Clie anymore.

I don't know if you can. Maybe someone else will come here with advice on that. But with Garnet you can run Palm apps on your N810 without using the Clie.

The GVM is highly unstable, will crash when the datebook alarm goes off and, after recovering from the crash, will delete all your PIM data. It is not usable if you need to rely on your PIM apps.

Hi there

I came from a Palm TX and have found the GPE suite of applications sufficient to replace the PIM apps from my TX.

The only issue I have is that sometimes the alarm will go off for an event twice. Or I cannot seem to access the alarm application to turn off an alarm that is sounding. But this does not happen frequently. So I would recommed it to you.

Were you able to transfer your data or did you had to manually enter it.
