Hello all,
I'm going to be going on a trip,
it will start In Spain and continue into Portugal.
Has anyone used their nit for maps in this region?
if so what maps are best for this?
also how do I use these particular maps, I do have MM installed
but can I store the maps of both Spain and Portugal in my external memory?
Sorry if these questions seem simple but I have little experience with the nit and even less with GPS/Mapper.
Thank you
Victor

I just used Maemo Mapper to check out different maps for Madrid, Spain. At zoom level 4 “Yahoo Street” seemed to have the best detail of street names. If you browse all the cities that you will travel to, that map data will download one large file to your memory card. once you do that, no internet access is necessary.

Never been to either but in MM you should map a route and have it automatically download various zoom levels along the route. Then for all the places you'll be staying get the more detailed maps. I would suggest having an SD card for those maps. The more detailed views can eat up space.

Navit seems to have great maps for europe, much better than the openstreet maps for the states.

Navit also has routing and stuff.

but it's taking for ever.
is there a way I can download with my PC and copy them over to the SD card?
thanks
Victor
