Hello... first of all i'm very very newbe in all of this.

I tried to install gngeo, xmaeme, xmame, and all of them doesn't work. and after so many tries it looks like a joke.

I tried even to install gngeo from the xterm and i just couldn't. it's too complicated. it always write that it doesn't find the specific file...

I tried:
dpkg -i /home/user/gngeo.deb

and it couldn't find the file. My file is in the first directory. before the "documents" directory. To be more clear in the 'file manager' there is in the top "Nokia n810" so in there i put on the file.

and then opened the xterm and wrote first "sudo gainroot" and then it wrote "/home/user/" and then i typed all what i written above...

but it's so complicated, isn't there any snes emu that works without all this compliated installs? or is there snes emu in development?

and maybe is there a good emulator for n810 (except gba and nes) that can play nice looking games like mortal kombat and street fighter and etc?

Though I'm a linux n00b I'm not sure .DEP is the right file. Did you try .deB

First of all, it is .deB - for "Debian Package". Also, if you save it in the "Nokia N810" folder, that's actually saved in "/home/user/MyDocs". Your Linux home directory is still in the normal place, but as far as Hildon File Manager is concerned, it's in a subfolder of that.

Might be case sensitive.

ok i succeded thanks to you all but it's write another error:

"error setting ownership of `./media/mmc1/roms': Operation not permitted"

Did you install rootsh to become root before doing so?

I remember reading a post in another thread here that states that there are many problems getting snes emu to work properly on the tablets (hardware issue maybe)

yes i think i did. i installed the software. and before i typed the "dpkg..." and etc in the xterm, i first wrote "root" or "sudo gainroot"

is it ok?

and i found out another software now "xgngeo" which i succeed installing but it just doesn't start. i try to run it from the "Extras" menu but it just doesn't even loading the software...

anyone?
