Me again, I am really starting to wonder if it is the device itself (see other posts).

I put my device on charge last night, the animation showed for charging, when I turned it on this morning it only showed two days charge remaining (about 30% on the status bar).

I had this happen once before where the charge logo showed but it wasnt animated and sure enough when I checked it it hadnt charged.

Any suggestions?

Do you think I should put in a warrant claim?

This might sound like a ******ed question, but have you reflashed it yet? I don't know if that'll help any, but the device does have to boot a short ways in order to charge. If that doesn't help, then yeah, RMA it.

Asking the obvious: are you using the supplied charger?

My N800 won't charge from some third-party chargers which work happily with Nokia phones, or even from an old Nokia charger with the adapter on it.

Right after I received my N810 I did the usual and installed everthing I could get my hands on. I uninstalled most of it, but one of those apps left something behind that was causing my N810 to do the same thing yours is. If you haven't reflashed it, I would definitely try that before RMA'ing it. Reflashing resolved my problems. I then reinstalled only the apps I actually wanted, and I backup more often and use more discression when trying new apps.

It happened again

I want to re-flash it as suggested but the instructions say "make sure your device is fully charged".

How long does a flash take?

The longest part of the flashing process is downloading the firmware image.

However you can save time (and a bit of your n810's battery) if you download the image to your PC first before you flash.

That way you can select the downloaded firmware image when you run the flash wizard rather than waiting however long it takes for your internet connection to download the 100+ MB flash image onto your n810.

Andrewm, the solution I was told to do was to boot the tablet by plugging it in instead of via the power button. To do that, you simply do the exact same steps (IE, hold the hold the window button) and then plug in the power. I haven't had anyone so far say that having it on mains power didn't work just as well as battery for flashing. If memory serves me correctly, they're both more or less treated the same during flashing.

I recently got a Mugen Battery and when I put the new battery on it was working fine, till the charge dies at Office. Now when I put it on charge, it does not charge at all. Even the charging icon does not show up.

The old Nokia battery still does charge and wakes up the N810, but the new Mugen just does not charge.

Is this something to do with the connector ?
