I challange anyone to contribute a more esoteric (but hopefully useful) tip than this one:
If you have not parititioned your MMC and loaded a duplicate 2006 OS on the ext2 partition per fanoush's web site, don't bother to read any further.
If you have, but have elected to retain the default boot from flash rather than ext2, then also don't bother to read any further.
However, if, like me, you are booting by default from ext2 -- then here's my tip:
When you have set your default boot from ext2 and attached your mains battery charger, the screen symbol indicating that a charge is occurring eventually disappears, and you never know from a screen indicatior when your battery is fully charged.
However, if, when plugging in your charger you immediately access the boot menu and choose to boot from flash rather than ext2, then the normal charging indicator appears and continues to be visible on the screen and therefore does eventually indicate when the battery is fully charged (i.e., "battery full.")
Now, how's that for a useful tip? Perhaps there's at least one of you out there who'll thank me.
