I have a question regarding a "password safe" for Maemo 5.
Is there any app compatible with .dat files?
Coming from S60 and HandySafe wich keeps the stored data on an encrypted .dat file I am looking for something that support such a file and port the data over. Is kind of too many entries to transfer them manually.

I'm gonna looking for exactly the same kind solution. Handysafe was good one in Symbian. Any hints?.

As a former HandySafe user I was throwing an eye at KeepassX which is in the extras devel repositories but noticed that it is not hildonised so I postponed that for later.
Might worth an option to look at: http://www.keepassx.org/

I'll add that a similar app would be good.

It looks as though several people are interested in something that works like HandySafe (i.e. a free-format database that allows arbitrary fields).

One developer has started to produce their own, PySafe:

I don't think there's any sync to a desktop app yet, which is a huge pity (I have ~450-500 entries in my HandySafe!)

Simon.
