I have some questions about the features of Mail for Exchange on the N900:
  • Is there access to other email folders than the inbox (i.e. to move messages from the inbox into an other folder)?
  • Does it show/sync other calendars than the default Exchange calender?
  • Can I change the out of office settings for the Exchange server?
  • Are pictures in contacts synchronized?
  • Can I search the Exchange servers address book?

Do you think it's worth putting a feature list on the meamo wiki?

Features I already found in posts on maemo.org:
  • There is no category support.
  • Additional local calendars can be used on the N900.
  • Mail, Calendar, Contacts and Task can be synced.

1) access to other folders works, you can move mails to other folders
2) It syncs other folders automatically.
3) No OOO message settings yet.
4) thumbnails are synced
5) Searching exchange server is not supported yet.

Nice! Access to folders is already a big step forward compared to my E90s Mail for Exchange version.

Is viewing multiple calendars from the Exchange server working?

I am wondering whether I am the only one experiencing that getting access to my Mail for Exchange folder is VERY slow.... Sometimes it takes up to 10-15 secs before my Inbox appears

When I go to inbox it comes immediately, but of course it takes some seconds when you make manually sync before new items come to inbox.

Not to mention that the MfE client is quite fragile. It fails to sync up over half the time. There are bug reports filed for this.

Hi guys,

I already posted this question elsewhere but no-one answered me and you guys seem to know what you are talking about

Does MfE on the N900 support the flaging of email for follow-ups with an associated task and (one can dream...) a reminder ?

Thanks a lot !

qhorse: Please don't post duplicates. At least link to your original posting and make it easy for other people to find a potential answer.

Sorry about that, it's just that I'm a bit desperate to find an answer...

if you did a search for "exchange flags", you would've found this thread, containing this post, which is exactly the answer to your question.
