Does anyone know if the Nokia N900 comes carrier unlocked if it is ordered directly from the Nokia website?

Given the phones specs, it could work on the AT&T network.

Yes it does. It works fine with AT&Tīs regular network(2/2.5G), just not 3G data speeds.

Nokia has made no announcement either way, so no, no one outside Nokia knows.

I have tha n900 and at&t.

2.5g is all I got. the only things I really wish I can do is video calls, but they require 3g. I can still do it if I use the wifi at home though I guess.

I would say the 2G it faster than an Iphone 2g, because the browser seems faster to me. and I don't die waiting for youtube videos to load as they do on the iphone.
