Yet again getting my hopes up. It sounds like he's saying that just because it's not in there by the default installation, the community should be able to enable it. (like the FM radio, PAN/DUN BT profiles, etc).

I wonder if he knows that someone IS working on it, or if he's just supposing that it COULD be done.

Digital compass would have been nice, but if I had to choose between that and USB host mode... there is no contest.
