I remember users getting the 1500 mAh battery from the N95 8gb in the N95-1 by grinding away some of the housing around the intrusive camera portion of the chassis. So evidently the N95-1/N900 battery should be able to be upgraded to the N97/E71 battery as long as it will fit. Alterations may be necessary, though. The good news is if it is, we can upgrade those N900 batteries with the Mugen 1800 mAh battery for some improved power specs.

The N95-8GB (along with the N95-3) use a BL-6f, 1200 mAh battery, NOT a 1500.

Would you really risk grinding down a larger battery to fit into your $500+ Phone?

OP talks about grinding the phone housing. Grinding the battery is for sure a good idea if you wish to kill it, the phone, your pocket, and your skin underneath.

I agree but hoenstly one thing I hate is the fact I can't find a charging station to place my future N900 on along with a spare battery. Is the N900 just so new that no one has manufactured a charge dock for it?

How reliable are the mugen batteries...I'm a bit worried that it might explode in my pocket or spontaneously combust
