Is there a way to configure proxy settings when USB networking? I don't have a cellular-data/wifi connection at my location. My laptop has a wired internet connection (behind a authenticated-proxy wall) and is connected to the N900 via USB.

Is it possible to specify the proxy for the browser or the application-manager?

The connection manager only supports wifi connections. I was hoping to find a USB-Networking option.
