Bug for charging already exists and has been fixed (in future firmware 2009.46-16)
Please don't log it again..

https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6004 - N900 sometimes ignores USB data cable
2. Connect it to charge device.
3. Try to switch on N900.
4. Bingo, now you can switch it on only after battery removal.
:P
Am I the one who have experienced this bug?
