Hey I have a N900 US version.. It keeps rebooting.. I want to try reflashing the eMMC and re installing the firmware..

A few questions:
Will it work with windows 7 x64 if I disable driver signature enforcement?
The guide says to flash it with the vanilla version. Should I use this version or the US version? OR is it that I flash the eMMC with the Vanilla then install the US firmware?

I had no luck using Windows 7 64 Bit. It wouldn't properly connect to the phone, though the binary did run. I am not sure why, played around with it for 15 minutes before grabbing the .tar.gz file and just running that in my 64 bit linux install. I don't use windows very often, just was trying out tethering with PC Suite when I decided to reflash.

I have the same issue, reboots all the time (every hour or so, sometimes alot more often). I reflashed the eMMC and tried every firmware there (US, North-African, and the international one). I reflashed the eMMC everytime and had no luck with any of them.

Well, if you have Vista, it will work fine.

Try this

NSU didn't work for me, I used the flasher-3.5.exe tool and steps outlined on mobile-geeks.com. Wouldn't complete the flash under Windows 7, even running the flasher app in XP compatibility mode, so ran it in an XP VM under win7 (under VMware Workstation) and worked fine. I used the USA ROM version for an N900 I purchased here in US.

I didn't have problems with reboots. I had a 3g/3.5g signal (T-Mo US) and was getting data in all apps tested, but not in browser. Couldn't figure out the problem across various GPRS settings and the few available browser settings, so just reflashed and then all worked.

Have encountered no other problems in a day of heavy use, just what I believe are missing features.
