when i am trying to transfer and sync from my SE to my n900 via bluetooth, a msg shows up on my SE say "session failed invalid server response" and on my n900 saying "failed"

i have also try to send all my links to my n900 from my SE but when i try and save the whole contacts to my documents on the n900 is says there is insufficient space even though i have 27g, again this is via bluetooth.

any1 else have this problem?

cheers

got exactly the same error. insufficient space, but i'm very sure the memory of my SE w810i is anything but equal to my n900. Importing only 1 contact works fine btw, but not really an option for 250+ contacts.

I also had the problem when transferring my contacts (and there are not that much: 50 at most) from my SE 750i to my N900 via Bluetooth: it said that there wasn't enough space.

I ended up using MyPhoneExplorer to extract all contacts, export them to a .vcf file (which was around 5.2 kB in size), copy it on the N900 and import from there.

On the other hand transferring a single contact from my SE phone worked like a charm. It's possible that there's a braindamaged SE firmware which doesn't send (or sends incorrectly) the file size information...

hope this helps

as a side note: that "no space left" message seemed like a bad dream, since I had the same error message at work the same day when migrating several TB of data from one GPFS storage pool to another one, which was way bigger than the original one...life can be funny

Not always a solution in these cases:

- you have many many contacts
- you don't want to have the different phone numbers attached to the same contact "exploded" into several contacts with a single phone number

Can you use MS Outlook? Try to synchronize all your contacts with PC and then contacts on PC with N900.

not really, my sim max is 250 #, I like to have numbers of the same contact together and most annoying, names are saved on the sim as one value where first and surname is splitted by an ';'

it should be possible with the SE app, but needs windows for that... to much trouble.

If I get some time this weekend I will analyze a little bit more this issue, and if the problem is on the N900 side I will open a bug...

I've got my contacts...

Create backup file in SE. mounted phone on linux, renamed the .vsf file to .vsf.mp3 and moves it to the music dir. With SE bluetoothed to n900, changed in xterm extension and imported with file manager.

well, all's well in the end
