NM, as has been the case for some time now, is very irregular at delivering my messages. That's not my problem though.

Whenever it does decide to bring in messages, there's usually at least 10 or 20 that come in. For each one I get a separate notification, which is expected. Problem is that when the notification sound is playing, I can't interact with Modest at all. It just ignores any taps.

Does this happen to anybody else, or is it something I'm doing wrong?

I have a different issue but is related to bar notifications.

My prob is all the bar notifications seem to mess up with input focus. Atleast with a terminal. I simply loose input focus on the terminal and need to switch out and back into it. Rather annoying.

On a side note: why do things like contacts, mediaplayer, modest etc... keep running in the background even when they aren't open or in use by anything?

It\'s so they load faster, I guess. I believe this behaviour can be controlled by looking in the respective application\'s desktop file.
