An unmodified worldt99 from diablo and a fremantle port of kmplayer is now waiting for your thumbs-up.

Updates for worldtv99 are coming soon (please be nice to bunanson the next days).

KMPlayer can now use a gstreamer backend (for legacy reasons, still called osso-media-server) and mplayer. My testing with mplayer-rc2, however, showed that its pulse audio output driver puts the volume to the max, so it's hardcoded to use alsa for now.
As before, for swf files, the libflashplayer support works for flash too.

The playlist on the left side, now uses the smooth scrolling panneble area. Looks nice, though has a disadvantage when scrolling over a long number of items. Have to figure out how to 'fix' this (e.g. keyboard shortcuts), but a tip might be to select 'New' from the menu to clear to active list.

For saving media files, like enclosure mp3's in RSS/Atom playlists, you don't have to wait for the downloading to finish anymore. A special download page now pops up, showing all downloads in progress. A download can be suspended and resumed as well. Also here, any link for download can be added as long it points to a http or ftp site.
I was tempted to create a download manager first, seems like a missing utility application with 32Gb to burn, but took the easy ride and added it to kmplayer.

With the exception of the small text files and icons, kmplayer is optified.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matroska both mplayer and gstreamer can support it. Don't know whether the for fremantle compiled versions support it. I wouldn't be surprised if mplayer support is compiled in and for gstreamer you need to find the appropriate plugins.

Can you run it with mplayer in the terminal like

mplayer -identify -quiet your-movie-file >out.txt

(add any option you use too)
and paste the output.txt file?

Thanks! The output looks okay.
I've found this file with google, and the -framedrop option, which kmplayer uses to _improve_ playback, is the culprit. Will remove it on the next version.

Promoted 0.10.2-3 to extras-testing. There goes ten thumbs up, found a grave bug myself.

Spent the whole weekend on ironing out other bugs too.
So this update removes the -framedrop option for mplayer, hopefully fixes the report that only after a restart of kmplayer, a video could be started again, fixed selecting 'Google Videos trailers' in the USA-VCURLs72 list of worldtv99, arrow keys now work for traversing the playlist and fixed the playlist selection moving to 'Recents' on change of this list.

All kmplayer users are strongly encouraged to update to this version.

Thanks for all the reviews so far and special thanks for the ones who voted. Lets get this one into extras!
