And everyone concerned about rootfs, I also reported my rootfs, 57 MB with all the installed apps, I think it is pretty respectable.

I've downloaded some ringtones and wallpapers from zedge. No themes as yet though. I couldn't do it from the phone for some reason but saved it directly to the phone via the PC.

Mind to identify AND comment about your ringtones and wallpaper, so that one can jump right into it rather than testing about it? I have no idea whether there are more than one ring tones available.

Is Droid Fonts installed by me, or it comes with N900? Can I take it out, it occupied preciously 4.8 MB! Anybody knows?

Tia,

Sorry bunanson, unsure what you mean. But to clarify, www.zedge.net is a site offering ringtones, wallpapers etc for a huge range of phones. I like to waste time blinging up my phones so have downloaded a fair amount of stuff from them over time.

I was surprised they already had stuff for the N900. Sure, nowhere near as much as the rest but that's to be expected. Best of all, it's free!

And big thanks for your input re apps, really cool to know what works and what doesn't.

I have never tried ringtones, obviously I do not know what I am talking I will go to the website and take a look.

I am glad you like the idea of tabulate 'installable and working' apps. I also reported my rootfs, just in case concerns about optification. Mind to check your installed apps to see if it is included yet?

6 blue squares>Settings>More...>App manager>Uninstall

TIA,

bun

Hey Bunanson I'll be blunt, you're speaking a language I don't actually understand! I'm a plug and play kinda guy and depend wholly on guys like you to do the hard yards re tinkering with the innards so I can learn and impress my friends!

But be warned re Zedge, it's bloody addictive!

If it helps, the ringtones simply load as an audio file and the themes and wallpapers go in the image file. There aren't any apps to load. Even the games were loaded into my app manager on the N95.
