I know ubuntu ARM version is not a phone.
But when install a SIM on it internal or external it can do voip.

I like N900 because it is almost a real computer but upcoming 4" wifi device have ubuntu ARM version on it, it is completely computer.

hope to know pros and cons for this two different approach.

Which device? Have you got a link? Could you be more specific?

PS. I tried to Google "upcoming 4" wifi device have ubuntu ARM version on it" after I read the OP. I found this thread.

I don't really know what you're comparing the N900 too. The N900 is an excellent phone and yes is pretty much like a computer. Are you saying there is something else coming out?

JennaEspen, judging by some other posts made by u2maemo, I am guessing he was talking about the SmartQ devices. U2maemo hasn't made any posts since Dec 23, so I doubt that you'll get an answer from him any more than I did a month ago.

One should really limit the ability to start new threads for users who lack a certain number/fraction of "thanks".

He could have been on about a MID (mobile internet device) version of ubuntu ARM (ARM being the processor) desigined to run on 4"-7" devices

JennaEspen it is not good forum etiquette to resurrect old forum threads unless there is direct relevant point to be made.
